Modern industrial ecology - Moscow conference

An international conference called “MODERN INDUSTRIAL ECOLOGY : Development of self regulation mecanisms. Certification, audit, rating” was taking place in Moscow on the 26th of september 2007.

This conference, far from being held in a dusty Institution from soviet times, was in fact organised by The International Chamber of Commerce, also called the Moscow World Trade Center. From the State governance inititiaves, through the best eco specialists’ rating practices, to what would be a global rating system of this ecologic impact in Russia and the difficulties to put it in practise, this very “actual” conference shows again the Russians’ interest in the matter.

Everything tends to show that the conference was the occasion for launching the ambition of a mecanism project for rating business impact on natural resources.

Here a brief presentation of the project

There are other conferences and events on sustainable development and Russia, please let us know, we will promote them for you.
